Arensito

Arensito is one of the earliest known keyboard layouts created primarily for the author’s personal use. It is also an early example of a dedicated symbol layer, which has now become common among keyboard enthusiasts.

According to its development log, Arensito was designed to:

• put the most common 8 letters on home keys,
• minimize SFBs,
• minimize pinky usage, and
• balance work evenly between the left and right hand.
